Default Cracked windshield

Maybe someone can help me. I have a cracked windshield. It happened in the driveway from someone opening the hood too far up. What should I do? Can I claim this on homeowners? I know I claimed a stolen stereo on homeowners, even though it didnt have comp or anything, because it was on our property. Is it even worth it with a 250 deductible? How about putting a used one on? I remember from the 944 faq I read a few years back, it listed a few places that had them for around 400-500. Is this really the best way to go? Thanks.

You can shop them. If you have the internal antenna- you can omit it and add the roof antenna- a nice look I think.

I remember someone posting in the 175$ range or less installed. Don't bother with insurance if you can avoid it- it will bite you in the butt if you get another windshied cracked on the road. My policy is a one shot deal with windshields- after that I'm on my own to replace.

Hopefully someone will provide a local source for you soon.

Safelite is generally considered a good source. A pretty well covered topic.

Try this:

or
