Question Loose rear view mirror fix?

My rear-view mirror shakes when I drive...making viewing a blurry mess! I think it's due to a loose connection between the mirror mount and the male connector on the windshield.

Is there any way to tighten this bond so the mirror doesn't move around? I bought a new mirror...only to find the same shake happening...so it must be the male mount on the windshield. Any ideas?

sounds like the car may be shaking a lot anyways - do you have a bad motor mount or anything?

The button that is glued to the windshield has "springs" in it. The bracket for the mirror has a tapperd blade that should displace these springs and tighten as the bracket is pushed into the button.

I found that no matter how tight these springs were my mirror shaked till I replaced my engine mounts and bought new tires.

It shakes at speed...I thought engine mount problems only materialized at idle?

My 911 mirror did that for some time (same exact mirror) before it fell off.
Plastic broke at windshield mount, I replaced it. No more shake.
