Been driving the car for a while and have noticed this buildup of oil under the intake manifold. Does anyone know the cause for this and if it's fine to continue driving.

 

I could be the hose that goes to the top of the AOS. Maybe it’s either split or partially off its anchor point. It may be also creating a vacuum leak as well. Might have to pull the intake manifold as well to get to it. Be sure to order new gaskets (4)before starting project.

 

What does your oil pressure gauge show? If it's pegged at 5 you might be having an issue with you oil pressure relief valve. Not sure if this represents the solution but it's worth checking.

 

AOS seals, there are two and when the lower seal leaks, it bleeds oil across the top of the engine under the intake, especially when you add oil to the engine (since it drains from the fill tube, through the AOS down past that lower seal). These seals are just simple o-rings (but if I recall, different size upper and lower, so be sure to order the correct #s)

 

yeah I have the O rings ready just gonna be a hassle to get to the AOS

 

The oil pressure does stay at 5 most of the time but I have seen in fluctuate.

 

Intake gaskets correct?
