Default Headlights only partially go up

A while back my light switch burned and I replaced it (1984 model). After about a month of this switch I noticed the headlights don't fully go up when the switch is fully on. When I put the headlights down/ flip the switch off, the headlights extend fully up then go down like normal. I'm thinking it's an electrical problem rather than the motor itself. I'll start by unplugging and replugging the fuses and relays to see if that resets it somehow.

On Another note, I picked up a sleepy headlight mod off eBay and was wondering if anyone else has done the same or has experience with it. It's cheap af and seems too good to be true. Link down below.

  • Headlights too low or too high
Start the car. Turn on the headlights. Unscrew the linkage from the motor shaft without turning it. Reposition the headlights manually while holding the linkage that you just removed from the motor. Reconnect the linkage to the motor shaft. Try turning the headlights on / off once more to verify the correct position. Repeat the procedure, if necessary.
