I plan on sanding the lip on my PD
seing as i'm going to die of aluminum dust anyways by sanding other parts I might as well do these.
But...depending on how they look tottally sanded or painted I may change my mind.
SO i anyone has a pic of just the lip polished....Or the whole thing polished...Or different paint variations i'd gladly appreciate it.


P.S. I just realized...When I actually post something serius It's much more formal.

Umm Arent the phone dials Cast....If they are this is very hard to polish, and if you are planning on doing this with just some sandpaper, I would think twice before doing this.....If you really want the lips polished, I think that the cast wheels have to be machined in order to achieve a nice polished lip...

Yes, cast. Polish? possible but you'll need mechanical help.

This is the reason they are painted or chromed.

Peck - There have been lots of pictures of this posted before. I know i have posted a few in the last 3 monthes or so. I even thought about doing this myself to my phone dials. I decided against it once i realized the amount of work required and there is no way to keep the results with out constant polishing...
