Hatch lock doesn't open with key!!

i have the same problem but found out a way to fix it,didnt fully fix it yet.youll need 2 people to do this.one person outside turning the key to unlock,and one inside to re-align the locking mechanism.once you do that.make sure your locking pins go down straight to the locking mechanism or else youll have to realign everything again.

the solution is the microswitch even though it clicks when you try it out of the mechanism is still bad... meter it you will find out this is true.
you need to replace it with a "weather resitant" one.. available from a company in minnesota called digi-key. they have a website digikey.com
i think the part # is CH291-ND available for less than 5 bucks.
you just need to be able to solder it into the old harness.
this fixed mine last summer, and its been perfect ever since.
this is MUCH less than having to buy the whole wire harness...
