It was my fault. I bid $280 and I was willing to pay up to $300.

They were the **** adjustable ones that I REALLY wanted. I passed on a set of the twist adjust ones earlier today for much less.

Snipping is the only way to survive on eBay.

It wasn't me but. . .

Why the heck DON'T people bid at the last minute - it's only the last 5 minutes that count for anything anyhow!

All you do by bidding early is drive the price up for yourself or whomever the winning bidder is. Don't believe me? Look at the bid history on a few auctions!

Bidding earlier than 5 minutes before the end (unless you simply can't) is pointless.

I know, my first bid went it with 1 min left to go. I guess with no bids before me I figured no one would notice and it would just slip by.

ARRRRR... Maybe I will just make my own rear shocks... how hard could it be? A cylinder, some seals and a few check valves... no problem... lol

Ok , the search continues.

Travis,
I always try to make 1 bid during the auction, if it is convienent I will bid at the end also. When I bid I usually bid all I'm willing to pay. If I win thats great, if not that's ok too.
I have a set of factory Konis (474?) from my '87 951 that have about 45,000 miles on them that I am taking off the car this weekend. Make me an offer.

They suck...........take off and twist. So when you put them on just crank 'em all the way and be done with them.

Winslow,
email me what you want for them. For now they are better than nothing until I figure out a better corse of action.

travis@rennbay.com

a new set just went for $160 on ebay and I passed them up for the outside adjustable ones, (which I didn't win). Get in that price range and subtract a little for the miles on them and I will take em'. Just give me a number and its yours.

I admit getting caught up in the last minute bidding....I wouldn't intentionally bid against a fellow rennlister....I may have in the past without knowing it....Travis I didn't bid on any shocks though....well, hey, its an auction....crap happens....

LOL, I am not really mad about it. Its just funny.
If I was bidding against me (or another lister for that matter) and I wanted something bad enough, hell yes I would snipe it. Its all just a game.

It was my own dumbass fault for not bidding higher.

Its like missing the 8 ball after an intense game of yahoo pool. Sure your pissed , but not at anyone in particular, just pissed in general.
