Default Sun Roof Gears - Best Priced Parts Supplier?

I've just checked with Pelican and they are charging about $7.5 per. Anyone know a supplier with a better price that is reliable?

I just finished installing new sunroof gears yesterday. I got mine from Vertex since I was already ordering some other stuff from them. They were $10 each.

Good luck

Geez, cheaper then $7.50. Are you kidding? Is it even worth posting for the possibility of saving 75 cents?

I recently purchased a new pair of those gears from Parts Heaven and I seem to remember that the cost was $12 for the pair.... or was it $12 each? They are good guys and worth knowing regardless!

I hear you can get them off ebay for $6.75 sometimes, but the shipping is a little high.

Paragon has them for a little over $4 each. Yeah, I'm being cheap. But considering I buy them 4 at a time! It saves a little.

Fezz, Just PM'd you. A very generous offer. If there is anything I can do to repay you let me know. -Dan

(PS to Magown and Turbite- Appropriately name by the way!) Fezz's response is in keeping with the spirit of the board. It's not the dollar amount. I can AFFORD the friggin $7.50 or whatever. It's just helping out each other with good sources, little bits of advice that make a repair easier or whatever...

And by the way, when you made your smartass jab about $7 bucks you didn't know if I'm one of the several 16 or 18 year old's posting here that have a '44 and a job at PizzaHut or whatever. I'm a hell of a lot older than that, but I remember working minimum wage and trying to work on my cars in those days. You don't forget that if you really have always cared about cars.

Bill, Who are you referring to? Based on a quicky review everyone that responded to my post is a Rennlist member.

Why I am referring to you of course, Dan. Everyone is pounding on you for being a cheap ba$tard, and as quoted above "trying to save $0.75 cents". My point being, that you could not be all that bad, as after all...you ARE a paying member of the rennlist.

Capeesh?

Capeesh!

I sorta thought they were bagging me too and didn't get it. I thought the whole point of posting was helping each other out with stuff. Granted this is not a big deal. I can afford the gears if they are 4x$7.50 or 4x$10. I wouldn't be posting if it really were onyl $.75, geesh. But $2.50 more per part is like 33% more.

Anyway, the issue is why pay any more than I have to, if you guys have bought them cheaper somewhere else? Yeah, I guess that still comes off as cheap. Oh well, screw it. I'm not paying an extra 33% for pretty much anything if I don't have to and if the board wants to flame me for that attitude, .... it takes all kinds.
