I have a 1991 944S2 and needed to replace the speakers in the doors. Given the shallow depths that we are working with, the choices are very limited. I searched the threads and all of the speakers references are outdated and generally no longer available. There is a YouTube video from the UK that references one solution but only found those speakers on eBay from a UK based seller. However, the shipping to the east coast of America was almost as much as the speakers themselves. Also, I wasn't comfortable in case there was an issue and had to return them to the seller. After much research, I found the Pioneer TSG4620S speakers (on Amazon) and they w​ere the perfect solution that fit my factory door openings without any modifications. I used the included plastic backing plate behind the speakers and the factory spacer on top sandwiching the speakers. I didn't use the plastic oval piece that Pioneer included in the box. Once I figured that set up the grills snapped on and stayed in place.

I looked at the Alpine speakers but could only find them on eBay from a UK-based seller. I decided on the Pioneer speakers instead.

- Where did you source?
- What kind of head unit and amp are you running?
- Do you share some pictures?
