"Firebirds's actually came stock with wheels very similar in style to cookie cutters (even more similar to Fuchs IMHO). A friend of mine here has them...they are different, but obviously copied in style."

Porsche copied GM wheels with the Fuchs.....

I never thought about it before but I think it is the case.......

I saw a 67 mustang in a parking lot a week back. It had fuchs on it with porsche crest caps....very odd. Looked decent though.

Predator's siggy reads:

IIRC, LT-4 is a Chevy Corvette engine.
Ironic, isn't it, that someone who is putting a GM Motor in a Porsche is complaining about folks talking about Porsche wheels on a GM car!! ?? !!

Just razzin' ya, Pred,

I'm not sure which came first, both have been around since the '60s. To confuse the situation more, the Cragar SS was a very popular aftermarket wheel (for the musclecar guys) from the late '60s until the early '80s and it also looked a lot like the Pontiac and Fuchs wheels. The Chevy SS wheel was different than the Pontiac wheel shown, and there's a later GM wheel that might look a little more like a cookie cutter. The big difference is that the Pontiac and early Chevy wheels were stamped steel while the German wheels were aluminum.
I think Predator is just upset because he wants the GM wheels to go with his GM motor, but can't find the right adapters!
