Cool 15's front & 16's rear on 944 - pics

My 86 now has 15x7 fronts with 225/50 tires and 16x8 turbo wheels on the rear with 225/50. Thanks to Bill who has lent me his rear 16" wheels until I mount 17's later on.

Here's what it looks like...

Some cars that have 1" larger diameter rear wheels are the NSX, new Viper, C5 Vette, and the Carrera GT.

does having large rear wheels have a significant performance advantage?

Nah, I just needed new rear tires so it was something fun to try.

I thought I would be able to tell a definate differance. Anyway looks good with the 50 series sidewalls. Nice car PorscheG96. Post pics with the 17's when you get them. How is the handling by the way with this set up?

Ouch -- my eyes hurt.... You're messing with my perspectives, man! It's a bit like an optical illusion...

Looks good, I could see it giving you a little better traction with that set up.

I like it too! It's a subtle difference but it definitely looks better than 15's all around
