Default Wiring diagram question

For the 1986 Turbo:

Can someone point me to the correct coordinates on the wiring diagram for the resistors for the engine cooling fans (hockey pucks)?

Thanks!

I just can't understand why there would be a wire splice inside the wiring harness.
Appreciate any comments

When you don't know the answer to "Why did Porsche do it this way." The answer is always money (usually savings.)

Can you post a screenshot from the wiring diagram with an example of what you are referring to? I am not understanding the dashes and asterisks...

I think I know what he means... I do a lot of work on Audis and their wiring diagrams are full of this kind of connection.

I have attached a page from an A6. The A17 connection (upper left corner area) is a connection within the wiring harness for the instrument cluster. It's just how they do it.

I have not run into that much on Porsches, at least so far...

From 928 land, this might be helpful: https://jenniskens.livedsl.nl/Techni...WDP%20Only.pdf

I don't think that the author ever actually published the whole book but what he put together is still really helpful. Also, he's active on the forum so the expertise is available.

Cheers
