Question Seats

Thought I'd ask before trying. Will the passenger seat fit on the drivers side? What I thought I'd do was take the drivers seat and the back seats in to the upholstery guy and drive around on the passenger seat till I get back the drivers side. What say?

It will work but if you have power seat controls they will be up against the center tunnel and unusable. You'll need to mount the seatbelt latch on the other side of the seat, also.

Thanks Guys,

944pete - The seat control is no problem, the seat belt is. The mount point is welded to the rail so I will not be able to do the swap without breaking the law. I would never do that! Not even for a couple of days. No not me.

Bhj0887 - I have the standard hole in the bolster. I use the car every day for the commute and to drop kids off. Ya they still fit in the back seat. I don't want to have the car sitting while the upholstery guy takes his time with it.

Just to wrap up,
The drivers side is power, the passenger side is unadjustable manual. they are different seats. The rails are different the seats are different. I cannot swap the seats because of the seat belt mount point. I cannot swap the rails as the seats have differnt mount points (rail to seat). sooo....the car is way cleaner and I found a buck 26 and an almond from the late 80s.

Even though you might be tempted to don’t eat the almond.
