I think I would stick an Optima battery in there instead of beer.

As for the "944Fest West" Questions.. I've said in the past that the name "944fest West" is usable, as long as you do it in the spirit I have. I don't make any money off this and haven't patened it or copyrighted it.. the spirit is a free gathering. If someone wanted to use the name, charge money and make it a money making venture (good luck!!) I'd have a problem with it. Anytime waterboys gather it is a 944fest of sorts and I'm OK sharing the title. I DO want you to call it 944fest "WEST" so it's not confused with the original. I'm extremely pleased when I see all these gatherings around the globe originating thru Rennlist contacts. I was one of the first and it's a great thing we've started!

To join the OT chat, the 944's have TWO coolers in the back that each will hold 8 (probably 12) on ice, and drain holes to let the melted ice out.

OH Yea, bud, I'M THERE. They are expecting me 6ish at Casa Fishey for a look-see and discussions on expectations, reservations, and limits. Say 7ish we will gather elsewhere for co-host debriefing. Jason has generously offered to grill out and let me crash at his place.. although I'm not sure he know's what he's in for! I haven't posted invites because it is not my house, but I've got Wade's and Jason's phone # to start networking once I'm in the local area. Sat AM I'll point the Mini (yea, I know) back northbound for a day at Mid-Ohio watching the Porsches run. It is up to Jason how open he wants fri eve to be... If he's limited in any way I'd be glad to meet ya'll where-ever! See ya'll soon!?!

13!!!??? That's impressive, I'd love to see some photo documentation of that feat! My sister's graduation party is coming up soon, I suppose I'll try it out myself then since it's before 944fest. Stay tuned.

I DON"T want to make money. I want it to be planned in accordance to the origional 944fest. I want it to be the same, same date and all, so we can ALL enjoy our selves. it will be a slow day on rennlist 944, lol. I've organized Porsche meets before. anyway, I'd need lots of 944fest info so i can plan with Dimitry. No money making in mind, just fun, beer, other 944ers company, beer, a great time and beer!

First time I read this I wasn't sure what you were referring to, but now I realize you're talking about the wheel well compartments! Excellent point about the drain holes too - wonder if the Porsche engineers realized the "versatility" programmed into these cars...

Now to decide where to hold 944 Fest West. Some of the options Eyal and I talked about:

Santa Cruz
Santa Barbara
South Bay - San Jose area

um....i didnt read all 5 pages, but i hope to attend. is it a formal gathering? it is possible that i might not be in a 944 though. it might be sold by then(i doubt it). so if im allowed to attend in a mustang(as backup), then i should be there. or something.
