Default europroducts chip install questions 944S

OK, so i got my chip. The directions state there should be two circuit boards when I open up the DME. There is one big one. They also state that there are some clips to pry apaart to remove the board. No dice. Has anyone put this chip in a 944S? Any help would be great!

I just put this chip in my "S" a few weeks ago. I do not remember having any trouble. I think you may be confusing "circut boards" with "2 chips". I believe there is 2 layers....2 circut boards. like a sandwitch. You need to release the top board, the locks are in the black plastic end where the harness connector goes. then slide it back. once you get there, fold it back, it will hinge on the fat wires. the chip is on the lower board. read the direction from there. Let me know how it runs. I have not installed mine yet. It is a spare DME I have. Good luck.

do you have to run premium with all of the chips because of the impeaded timing? I have a chip on my new project car, with a switch was thinking about using it.

OK. Got the chip in, drive the car for ten minutes or so, too much traffic out right now to really test it out.

Results.

The car will spin tires in 3rd gear now when accellerating hard.
The low end is alot more responsive, revs better(only a bit)
Rev limiter is up 300 RPMS, weird to watch it go beyond the redline before the limiter kicks in...kinda scary actually. She f**king SCREAMS at 7K rpm.
Spinning my tires was pretty hard for the car before, they are really sticky and they grip like a raped monkey so for the S to spin em like she did was a pretty good thing.

I'll do some high speed tests and more low speed stuff in two weeks when I get back from Cancun.

Like I said, the car will sit for the next two week until I get back, but I will post more when I return and get to drive her some more.

Come to think of it....With that chip you are not susposed to even have a rev limiter at all. It says that in the instructions. "be careful"

I hit a rev limiter with mine. Sat in the drive way and revvd it up until I hit it around 7K.

I didnt see anything in the instructions about that.

You can spin the tires in 3rd? Wow, either you've got really bad tires or I made the wrong choice by buying a 951.

Brand new. I should be more specific. It wont spin them solid through third, just into it. They get traction real fast as soon as I hit thrid. I also dont have LSD so only one wheel is spinning.

Is this the europoducts chip? Mine has no rev limiter so I do have to "be careful."
