Default Recall Notice (Fuel Lines)

So I just got back from my annual inspection, and they issued me a recall notice for the fuel lines and rail. I knew exactly which lines they were talking about, and had planned to replace them already, but will Porsche pay for this? This is the first recall notice I've received on the lines in the 20+ years of ownership. Is it new or were the previous mechanics just tossing the notice?

Most of us have changed out the OEM fuel lines long ago due to these cars commonly suffering from engine fires (peace of mind). Im not aware of any recall or "free" replacement from Porsche. I went with AN lines on mine. You can make your own using AN fittings or buy a set from 944online, lindsey or other people making them.

There was a recall for some 85 and 86 944's for fuel lines. I would contact my local Porsche dealer to see if the recall has already been performed.

Yeah mine have been changed once already. I did Lindsey's braided lines from the tank/return to the rail, and was going to replace the line from the rail to the pressure regulator with a braided one too. In the recall notice it states the remedy is to replace the rail and the hose, and since this is the first time I've received the notice in 20 years I wasn't sure if it was a new recall, or a ghost of past recalls. It appears to be the latter.

I did some digging after posting this, the recall is not new. First issued in 1986 and again in 1990. If I check by Vin# it shows that it is no longer an active recall for my car (I assume that means they already replaced it in the 80's).
