im ready to pull my hair out ,i have a nice 83 944 when i bought it there was no radio ,i now know why ,someone scred with the wiring ,the original wire harness is not there,i think i have the power and ground ,all speaker wires ,but on the radio i have you need to hook up an ignition accesory wire ,i cant find it ,ive found a few cut wires,they do nothing ,for the speaker balanceing harness ,only half that goes to swith ,other hals gone,what color wires should i be looking for,right now all speaker wires are brown and brown with red tracer,the current power ive found is yellow with a red tracer and a brown thats a ground HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP

Default Radio wiring harness

Google Porsche 944 WSM (Workshop Manual) and check out the electrical section. The big grey section at the top of the schematic is the DME (computer). Good luck. There should be a fat wire- black- that comes from the left front fender. That is the antenna co-ax cable and should plug into the back of the radio. There is a large white plastic plug back in there too. It may be connected to the alarm module, which can be bypassed. Especially if you are not getting an alternator charging light and 14.5 volts at the battery. HTH some..
