World's Largest Porsche Only Swap Meet only goes 1 day... but Tweeks can stretch one out for 2. Interesting, I could have swore Hershey was both days.

Ahh well.. see ya next year.

Oh, Granny.. get in touch with me.. I have some parts to sell.

The Central PA Region PCA Swap Meet is only one day, and that is what makes it so great. We believe the largest one day gathering of Porsches anywhere on the planet. That is why it is important to get there early, because just the thing that you were looking for has been sold to someone else. Also, the advantage to staying late is that is when some of the best deals take place. I know because as a Swap Volunteer (we all, are BTW) stuff that I wanted was sold while I "worked." So this year I worked only from 0615 to 1100 am, and I worked less than many others. Many, Many Central PA Region Members, including Steven Baun, Jim Herbst, Curt Stauffer, Joe Region Prez Joe Rausa and Hery McQueen put an amazing amount of personal time in to the swap, which really does benefit the "Porsche Community" tremendously. By most accounts, there were an estimated 1100 to 1300 Porsches onsite at peak hours of 9-1. The weather was absolutely Fantastic yesterday for the Swap. Registration and Planning for the next year begins the day of the swap! Next Year the Swap moves to the Giant Center (across the street) and the Region will run the Swap at the Porsche Parade, also in 2005. So, there will be two Swaps next year!! Yahhooooo!
I would post some pictures but it seems that someone (OK, me) forgot to put my CF Card in the digital camera so late at night/early in the AM.

On Sunday, we do have a Auto-X, and a good time was had by all, until the rain started about 11AM

Yupper, peak time begins at 9 am, and gates open at 7. Just likes flea markets or garage sales...you snooze, you lose.....(VBG)

Steve
