We had something similar happen last summer when I hosted the Ricecop get-together. There were three moderators in the house, logged in to wireless laptops... drunk.

People did get banned that day. But it was no big deal. We likened it to the "police ride-alongs" and it was just the members feeling what it was like to be in charge.

Great to finally put a face with a response and avitar! Melanie and I had a ball - can't wait for more beers, 944/951 discussions, ditties about uncles and cats, tax deductible industrial Versace goggles, and instructions on how to use the "sweep" get out of jail card! Had we known that a couple more beers would have resulted in admin priviledges.....John would have had those beers sooner and Mr. Happiness would never have had to provide us with a disertation on PA beverage serving laws and how to make friends and influence people. I tried to hold Hoffman in the Cincinatti area Saturday night. It was after a proposed BBQ in SW Ohio.
Hoffman.
He had travelled outside the Columbus boundary again. I attempted to ply him with drink and he refused., Wade of the north DID partake in said "Beverage of the gods" , and was happy..

Ever elusive, That air-cooled Hoffman is.

no, 944 fest is a blast. trust me.. you will not have a better time in your life, even if youre not a 944 owner.

 

Jeremy! After getting to bed at 4:30AM, then getting up at 6AM, I needed to get on the road before the 1.5 hours of sleep hit me and I got really tired. I had to get back to my sister's house in MD and then back down here to NC. Thanks again for the drinks!

Finding a wrecked 993 in white was a tough task, but Google was up to the challenge.

Sounds like the event was quite a blast - chalk up another one I'll have to schedule for the next time around. This year I'm in for the fest though

 

I just wanted to stick my head in here and say I had a blast hanging out with John "Nice Sweeper" D. and Matt "I got the extra insurance" Olde. I just can't wait until next year!!!
