Default Caster block install

Ok im replacing both my caster blocks soon with 968 units. Mine are torn, according to my mechanic its because they were fully installed and torqued then the car was lowered to the ground.

What would the proper install process be?

I think your supposed to put them in LOOSE then put the car down once then jack it back up and tighten the bolt. or maybe put the car ont he ground then try to tighten it while its down. maybe you need some ramps for that job?

i really am only guessing hah. this is how i did mine though and im doing awesome. now if the rest of the car worked as well...

and when i say loose i dont mean the mounting bolts. i mean the bolt that actually goes through the bushing and the control arm. just whatever you do dont drive it like that. you just want the weight of the car to put the bushing into the place were it will be when you ARE driving then tighten it in that position. knwo what i mean? thats why the old ones brea when you lower the front is because now theyre being twisted more. or at least thats what i thought was happening. someone will most likely step in that actually knows more about this.

That must have been what he was alluding at, I was just wondering if there was some sort of special procedure for it.

Thanks!
