I'm having my 86 944 turbo painted in Houston. Affordable auto glass came today with a windshield (with antenna) and it didn't fit. They're ordering another to see if it was just a defect. It was one piece, and what I mean by that is that it had a thick rubber seal attached to the windshield. My question is, is there another seal or mold that attaches to the car besides this rubber seal? The parts catalog shows 2 parts, the screen and molding. Anyone else have this type of problem?

I'm going through the EXACT same problem now. I had Safelite come to the house and try to install a new windshield. The previous owner had removed all of the seals and such which hold the windshield in place and allow it to fit flush. The windshield that they brought had no seals attached to it, unlike what you described. I'm in the process of attempting to find the seals, and any moulding/stripping/trim needed to make the windshield fit for my 1986 944 (nonturbo).

I pulled the windshield out of our 86 944 turbo parts car to replace a cracked one in my 88 944 turbo. I'm having my local wrench (Bob Hindson Racing) install the glass, and they said they would order the trim for around the window. They said it was a 1 time use deal-
If it all goes to plan-I'll get the part numbers...
