Here's all the pictures I took yesterday! Not too 56k friendly though

There's over 100 so I'll link to them instead of trying to put them all in here!

Yeah I was wondering who it was behind me cuz we wer elike the last 944s to leave the corral besides a white one that was left. Yeah that traffic down ISB 92 getting onto 95 was nuts, I was trying to keep up with my friend in the gold turbo in front of me, lol. Surprisingly my camera batteries lasted pretty well, if you like any of those particularly a lot I have higher res versions of them. I got about 30 more that I took today, but haven't downloaded them yet. I'll post those soon

we spotted your car (and jason's) earlier in the day in the parking lot but we then moved our cars down to the bleachers that are on the little peninsula between turn 3, 4, and 1st big banked turned (not counting the two shi-canes as turns....man i know i butchered that word hehe). great spot, very good 270 degree view of the action.

wow your friend, w/ the gold turbo, did an excellent job getting that nose panel to fit correctly! i was looking at that and it lines just as good as a factory panel....i've heard nothing but nightmares about geting that one to fit. did mike ever make it? he was saying he might not be able to go sat night.

yeah Mike didn't end up going...wasn't much in the mood for it today. About the nose panel, he didn't do that himself I think the PO of that car worked for a body shop or something and did that to it. I think it looks pretty aggressive that way...I'm tempted to do something similar with mine, only I have no intercooler there, just my air filter

cool...salvatore dali porsche pic

no decals...think you can get away w/ registering this as a street car...

yummy

and finally as i get close to the holy grail of 951s...the 944 GTR turbo!

and start snapping photos to see what secret technology porsche engineers had stuffed into this car in its hayday...

trying to stay well out of the crew's way as they diligently worked to get the car track ready.

...my camera batteries die its probably for the better...john d's gonna get back from hershey and find out i have half the server space filled...opps did i say that out loud.

Absolutly a great weekend....got to meet fellow rennlister 944_S_TYPE and his fiance' (both great people), met a dozen or so members of my new PCA chapter (great people also), and got a once in a lifetime chance to see porsche history from the 1st 356 ever (porsche #1) to its latest masterpiece the CGT and everything inbetween. if in 3 years the reunion is around you make it a must see event!

Man! It wierd looking at all the pics, as I have almost the exact same ones! I even kept looking for myself in yours as we must have been out there the same time.

no decals...think you can get away w/ registering this as a street car...

A rear shot of the same car. Notice the rookie stripe!

...isn't it funny how the CGT looks like just another Porsche next to all that beautiful machinery?!?!?

Definitely thanks for sharing! Wished I could have made it, but I couldn't get out of work here enough to deal with the drive down and back

I have some more that I took yesterday to post, better ones of the CGT especially. My friend actually took a 360 degree quicktime video of it. I also got some shots of the packs of 944 turbos and NA club racer cars from the catch-all race. Once I get around to resizing those I'll post them here too. What a great event..it's so cool when you see all the cars out on the track and EVERY ONE OF THEM IS A PORSCHE! That's when I wish I had a newer digital camer athat would take sequential shots cuz I wanted to snap every one that drove by! Stupid delay! lol

If this event is held near you in the future make sure you go!

Oh yes....definitely so. I hope they take it to the west coast for the next one, although from the path so far (Lime Rock, now Daytona) I'm really almost expecting Texas next.

I'll definitely be inquiring about getting a few high res images from you, Dave....some excellent shots there and I'm wanting to build a 3D CGT soon....

I'm not sure what happened to the Paragon 968...I saw it pull off the track during the race and back into the pits..I was watching at that turn where it pulled off, and I didn't notice if there were any announcements from the commentators on it
