Default Idea on Rear Light-Up Panel

The panel I'm referring to:

Now for the idea. Anyone ever remove it, put it on the wall but hook it up so a switch or some device can turn it on and off still?

Edit: or how about turning it into an alarm clock!

That's pretty much all they're good for IMO...ugly aftermarket things...
Wouldn't be too hard to wire up.

To be honest with you I don't like it on the car, it would look alot better on my garage wall. I don't know how you could make it an alarm clock (blinks with the buzzer?), but it doesn't sound like a bad idea.

I wouldn't even hang it on my garage wall, let alone put it in my house.
