Here is the information for the starter
Here is what I need to know to make the order. So What Bosch Series is our starter?

The Bosch number for the small diameter (Permanent Magnet Gear Reduction) starter used in the 951 is 0001108021...
I'm going to deduce that the bosch series is 110 and that those brushes are ones you want.
Amazon lists them for about $15.

Thanks guru -
I am planning to rebuild the starter and alternator for the 951 while the engine is out. Also went ahead and ordered bearings to rebuild my 928 Wiper motor. Will do separate picture threads for the disassembly, cleaning and reassembly of each so stay tuned!
Ordered everything from Maniac Electric Motors.

I had a surprise on my alternator. The alternator tested OK when room or outdoor temperature. I reinstalled the alternator, started the engine, and measured 14 volts at battery terminal.
Fast forward to the race track. The battery was not keeping a full charge. Measured the voltage at the battery after the car coming off the track, it was 13 v .
The conclusion is as the alternator temperature incfeased to 200+F, the internals of the alternator were failing
