Brett, the reason you see cars bouncing down the road has little to do with springs. It does have to do with both the relative uselessnes of the shocks they either left on the car or "upgraded" to during the lowering process. The valving for the OE shocks are not up to the task of controlling the uprated springs. For the same reason, we do not recommend the use of standard Koni Sports with any spring rates above 400#. Custom valving or other applications are available for those exceeding this limit. In some other cases of lowriders bouncing, it is because they've completely blown out the shocks due to lowering the beyond their limits (failed seals, damaged rods, etc). An overly sprung car will also hop down the standard pothole-riddled cobblestone streets - even with a good shock. High spring rates have only one home - on the track.

Lead Foot -

this kit is awesome, especially if you want any kind of competitive suspension setup. i have 8" 275# springs on mine and i'm considering going up to 400# when i have the engine rebuilt. of course, the rear will have to be correspondingly increased.

i would say go for it...

Stock is what, 140# for early cars? Doing anything with the rear springs/torsion bars? Do you auto-x or track your car?

How does this kit for a street car compare to a 951 with Koni Sports and 250 lb. springs (not coil-overs)?

No the car is not tracked...And I am not sure what weight is exactly on the car now...I just want it to be lower without sacrifising ride comfort..and nothing has been done with the rear suspension yet either...That will be right after....MAybe re-index the torsion bars i guess...

badass951, this kit with 250lb springs set to the same ride height and installed on the Koni sports will be identical.

Your car already has coilovers on the front. The kit Paragon sells is an Adjustable Ride Height Kit, or ARHK, for coilover strut suspension.
