Default Gas prices on the rise?

I keep hearing about gas prices going up, maybe I've been lucky but my usual place has been the same price for over a month. It's been a while since we had one of these threads, so what are we paying for fuel in the various parts of the country (or world)

I'll start it with this, I filled up Sunday morning with 93 octane for $1.62 (usually $1.67, but 5 cents off on Sunday, on premium only).

Wow! $1.67 for premium? In Lancaster the lowest price has been $1.83 for at least the past month. Seems to go up a couple cents once the weekend rolls around. $1.67 is more on par for 87, but not premium.

On Long Island 93 octane was about $2.11 depending on where you go. At the Holland Tunnel on the Jersey side it was about $2.00, off Route 1 its as low as $1.79 .

Same as elsewhere, premium is around $1.90.

I'm seriously thinking of a Volkswagon TDI that gets around 50mpg for commuting. That, or build a diesel-electric hybrid that gets around 100mpg.

That's damned cheap Dave!! Where is your station!? I am paying about 1.89 for Plus (for my Honda)! Premium is around 1.97! $25 plus to fill up is pretty scary!

For every one of our boys killed by terrorists in Iraq, the US should help itself to 1MM barrels of crude! F 'em!

European listers how much are you guys paying? When I was over in Germany in the late 90's, I was under the impression that it would cost at least $60 to fill up a 944.

Depends on where. Downtown I have seen premium at the 2.49 level, out in the suburbs it was 2.09 about 3 days ago. I have no problem seeing 3.00/gal downtown this year.

I think it was about 1.67 for Premium, 1.47 for 87. Dave and I are in the cheapest place to get gas in NJ.

Andy, I've got a little no-name (trucks are marked BP) that's way off the beaten path in Union, if it weren't for cheap gas the street wiuld have almost zero traffic. Reg is $1.55, 89 is $1.59 IIRC and 93 is $1.67 except on Sunday when it drops to $1.62. I filled it for $22 on my way to the last autox (almost 14 gallons).
