That one is definately showing it's age.

Looks like they are going to spend the money to re-build it though.

I hope it doesn't take too much away from it when they do.

Thanks, it actually is a VW color and has blue, purple, and some gold flakes in it but you can only see them in good sunlight.

I found a website about the Jericho bridge. It says it was built between 1850 and 1860. Also, check out that picture of what it looked like back in 1936.

Bridge is nice...paintjob is very nice! I like grey, but that black has life to it!

How did it come out as far as orange peel, or "it looks repainted" overspray, etc??

It doesn't look too bad as far as overspray. There is fisheye in some places but what can you expect from Maaco. The thing that pissed me off the worst about the whole thing is Maaco hit a curb and scraped paint off the front valence(look closely at the picture of the wheel and you can see the white scratches) and they also backed into something but the bumperettes covered that. They also didn't tell me they had done any damage and when I went to pick the car up. After looking over the car for about 10 minutes(I wasn't taking any chances after that last incident with a shop) I went in and talked to the manager and they agreed to fix everything. I swear my car has bad luck.

Andy(TheStig) What color did you get your car painted?? I followed most of your posts before you got it paint and am interested in seeing pics.

I also have a bunch of pictures of the prep work and I'll post them if anyone is interested.

Haha, don't all of ours. I picked mine up from a respray and the next weekend it was hit by hail (in San Antonio). On top of the car between the sunroof and rear hatch a dent was so deep it cracked the paint. Hail went right through the rear hatch, to give you an idea of what size it was. After getting it fixed from this, a camry left a gouge in the driver's door that actually peeled a half-inch of paint off from where their door slid...I'm going to now cross my fingers, knock on wood, say Porsche three times fast and go to bed before I jinx my car!
