You 951 guys should no better than me, but I thought that in 1988, you could get a Turbo or a Turbo S, but in 1989, you could only buy a Turbo (no S). And they incorporated all of the S benefits into the base model, or - they eliminated the base model and only sold Turbo S's, without calling them Turbo S's. Either way, it was my understanding that they only sold Turbos, and NOT Turbos S's in 1989, but that you still got all of the Turbo S upgrades. Depending on who you talk to, they might say that their '89 is a turbo S, but in reality, there were no Turbo S's in 1989...

Jack.. You are exactly correct, but many folks call the 89 a TS to note it's special features. It is NOT a 952 either. It was my suggestion that Bruce Anderson compared a 88 Non-S Turbo with an 89, the 89 being a fair comparison to an 88 TS.

First Kelly BB and Edmonds tend to be on the low side of things. NADA tends to be on the high side.
KBB says $4,050 private party value in excellent condition.
NADA says $7,201 average price, and $8,376 high for excellent condition.
Is NADA owned by Barrett-Jackson by any chance? It's a little optimistic I think!
