Need Brown 944 Photos!
I am almost ready for a repaint, Need to shoot a little more primer and a little more sanding and its off to the paint booth, I am thinking of dark brown metalic, or maybe bronze metalic. But would love to see a few 944 in that color. I have a brown interior, so looking for something that will go with it.
Thanks,
Jim

Just an idea.
The first of our cars I EVER saw was way back in 1978 (eek!). A guy I worked with then bought a new 924 in a light/medium metallic green. It had polished Fuchs and I remember thinking that was the most beautiful car I had ever seen. His had a brown interior.
I don't know if you are still open to ideas on colors or have your mind made up on brown. But if not, try to find swatches from that green. Any good quality automotive paint supplier should have them.
Should we have a technical reference library on Rennlist with the color codes an maybe even scan in samples of the colors or pictures of cars in the various colors?!!
Anyway, it is a Porsche original ...so you wouldn't be pressing the envelope too much. Just my $.02

My 87 NA is painted mettalic bronze. I'm at work now and dont have any pics on this computer. When I get home tonight I'll attach a couple of my car. FWIW I'm not a big fan of the color, and plan on changing to Arctic Silver in the near future, but people compliment my paint all the time. So I guess it's all a matter of opinion.

However, I think the color you're refering to must be either:
Inari Silver Metallic Clearcoat L94A
or
Onyx Green Metallic Clearcoat LD6V

have you thought about blues. you can wear blue slacks with black, burgandy, or brown shoes. therefore you can paint the car blue, and the brown interior should match.
ford sold tbirds and cougars in the mid late 70s in navy with a tan landau and tan interior. looked pretty sharp for the period.
you can also go with a metallic brown like the early 70s caddys. i had a karmann ghia in the late 70s that was repainted from orange to caddy metallic brown with a brown interior. it looked pretty good. looked better when i pulled up next to an old guy in a caddy when he looked over and saw my KG in the same color as his.

Went outside for a sec to snap a pic of my car with my crappy cell phone camera. Sorry about the poor quality, I'll try to post better pics later, I have some stored on my digi cam, but I can't seem to locate the friggin usb cable to send them to my computer. The car is Kalahari Beige, btw.
