No start - "Starter Overrunning Clutch"??

You can get genuine Bosch soleniods for our starters at www.rockauto.com for something like $45.

A fellow rennlister "dmsog" is in the Starter/Alternator rebuild business. Search the archives for my post on him - he sold me some starter parts that I could not find anywhere else. He was trying to build up some inventory of the SR39X starters when I last corresponded with him:

Recently replaced the starter in my 951. Used a rebuilt from a local parts house that specializes in non-US cars. The rebuilt unit, with core, was $158.00. The brand is Federated. Unit works fine. Only minor problem was that I had to rotate the connections on the solonid 90 deg.
All the P-car specialists wanted $300.00 + for their starters.
