Hi All.

Is there any reason why I can't do this on the race car? I have been reading about the steam vent kit on the turbos but that is a different head. Will removing the rail cause bleeding issues? Rubber caps over the waterpump fitting and the rear of head outlet?

It's probably safe to say that those who race 944/924S's delete the rail without issues. Lots of discussion here.

Indeed, but it serves to confirm the option of deleting said part even though the mechanics may be different.

Mine is deleted on my SP2 car ... made a blanking plate on the head and welded a cap on the top of my water pump hose nipple , although some water pumps come already capped !

No bleeding issues whatsoever ... although i use a Stant pressure bleeder to bleed the system whenever i do some engine work.
You have no idea how many people i saved in the paddocks with that pressure bleeder, definitely a good $100.00 investment !
