My car is almost done with the paint, all prep work and its ready for the booth here.....they painted the first coat and i saw it today it looks AWESOME....as you can see in my avatar the paint was far from awesome, well tomarrow i hope ill get pictures of that

From my experience: I would have them R&R the mirrors, tailights, antenna + front valence. The final results will be VERY diferent! (Iuse to be a shop foreman in a body shop...)

i tried getting the mirrors off and got fed up with it, it was getting dark and it was due in the next day. tail lights are glued in and i dont have anything to replace it with and the antenna is a huge hassle, of coarse you are right and i would hqave loved to do all of that

I hope it turns out good, and have fun getting it back together.
I have just finished painting mine and am planning on painting under the hood tom. I have most of it put back together( it goes back a lot slower than it comes apart )
