Default Will four cup wheels fit INSIDE of a 944?

I have a chance to pick up a set of cup wheels on my way back from Oregon and I was wondering will they fit inside of the car. I am thinking three in the back and one in the passenger seat? They are 17X7 and 17X9 with the tires on the rims. Anyone ever tried this?

Without tires, they should fit fine. Bring a blanket or something to keep them from banging together and hide them from prying eyes.

I had four Cup2's in MY car a few days ago- 17x7 & 17x9- they fit fine- I even had them inside the boxes that they were shipped to me in- they did NOT have tires on them though, but, they did fit as they were...

HUmmmmm these have the tires on and I don't want to go pulling them off just to make em fit. The idea here is save the $100.00 in shipping fees.

I know I can fit 4 - 245/45-16 tires and wheels 8" wide inside my S2. I would think you could get it done.

Cheers!

They will fit, just bring blankets and be patient.

Mine are not Cup's but are the same size. I did a few auto-x and had these in the back. Leave all the back carpet at home if you can, less chance of getting it dirty and pull the spare. Gives a bit more room to shove one of the front tires towards the back. Better yet, don't have a passenger and put one in the front seat.

I have travelled from Road America in Elkhart WI to Kansas City with four 275-40-17's in the back of my old 951. It didn't smell the best, but it will fit.

Regards,

They will fit fine, I have done it many times, lack of a rear wiper makes it even easier!

Marc, excellent call on the wiper! Mine doesn't have one, I never would have thought of that.

I have had 4x15" wheels and tires plus one 16" wheel and tire on the same time.. Also 5x18" wheels at one time.. The fifth 18" one took up the passenger seat but the 15"+16" combination was ok also having a passenger..

The wheels on the car and the spare wheel not included in those calculations...

Lol, I drive around with 4 wheels all the time, but they are mounted on the outside =)
All kidding aside, I've fit a similar combination with tires in my 944 before, so I wouldn't worry, but definately carry some blankets, and be careful putting them in.

IPSC:
Just did this last weekend. Three in back, one in the passenger seat (my car has a rear wiper). This is with tires mounted.

I don't believe the car has a rear wiper so that will work.

You can most likely fit two in the front passenger's seat, and then you'll have plenty of room in the hatch for the other two.
