Default 944S Euro Plastic Model Kit on e-Bay

I'd love to put together a plastic model of my car to keep at my office, but they are hard to find. The turbo ones on e-bay were going for $80 or so which is too much to spend on a project I'm likely to screw up. Why didn't I pick one up in 1986!

Here's a Euro 944S Model available on e-Bay. It's closer to my NA than the turbo model so it would be great, but I'm still not likely to pay the going rate, but perhaps you are.

I've got that one unbuilt at home. For those of you who are detail sticklers, there are a few issues with the kit.

1. It has a turbo rear valance
2. It has a turbo motor.
3. The little blurb on the car in the instructions states it is a "16V turbo".

Otherwise, it is a nice kit.............

Bummer, the local hobby store a 6-7 of that model a few years ago. I'll have to swing by there tomorrow.

Hacker-Pschorr,

Let me know which hobby store, especially if you find they still have one. My parents live in GB so I get up there fairly often. See you at Damian's get together? Thanks,

Eric

I remember reading that the '88 S got the turbo rear valance as standard equipment so the car wouldn't look so much like an NA. It may have been in Peter Morgan's book.

elf - I have not been there in a while, but I remember seeing a stack of those models at NEW Hobby on Military a few year ago. It sticks out in my memory because I wanted to buy one but knew damn well I'd never get around to actually building it.

I seam to remember having my 944 on the road at the time, that puts it pre-2001.
