To me, that sounds like a great price for a very good looking car. I hope you got lots of records and you don't have to put lots of maintenance dollars in to get it where you want it to be.

Sheesh...the more I hear about these good deals people found with their cars, the more I feel "raped" during my purchase. Oh well, I can't undo it so might as well have fun.

Your car looks clean and I concur about the Fuchs rims - nice!

I know I paid too much for (what was at the time) my 48K bone stock example, but $7500? Jeez...THAT was a deal...

$7500 isnt a steal its a robbery of ski masks and leather gloves proportions. If that car is tight, I would not have neven returned a phone call for a bid under $12,500. You could sell those Fuchs for almost $2000 alone. Only one of three things can be true:

a) you are one hell of a negotiator
b) the owner was a complete dumbass
c) the car has hidden boo boos

My guess its #1 or #2.

Congrats man. Im all envy.

Ive seen sets of near perfect original 16 7s and 8s go for almost $1500 as they only fit on the Turbos in 86. Someone looking for a chromed/polished set could very well pay a few hundred dollar premium on top of that. You take a set to a wheel shop for refinishing/chroming and they could easily charge you $125 a wheel. Fuchs are as light and strong as they come.

Thats some expensive rimmage but they are top shelf in every way.

I wish I had a rimjob like that.

So will you guys would be even more pissed when I say I only paid $6k for my <a href="http://www.skene.org/gallery/porsche_944/front_left">'86 turbo</a> last november? Of course my car has a good 140k more miles on it, leaked oil, and not nearly as nice rims.....

(sorry to hijack your thread btw.)

Very nice!! Zermatt silver...right?
Any body work, or paint work? That price seems WAY low for such a nice car!

Good luck!
