need power steering rack
i just rebuilt my power steering rack a month ago. and well i have been having alot of leaks, so i have been fixing them. well it turns the last of the leaks is actually my rack. i dont know if i f"d up the rebuild or if something is wrong with the rack. so i am investigating my options. first what are the pro's and con's of manual steering? second does anyone have or know where i can get a cheap rebuilt rack. i understand Porsche and "cheap" dont go together well but i have no more money for the first time. this month was the first time i couldnt pay my entire credit card bill right away. and then i got my other credit card bills, and insurance and so on, so on. anyways, i digressed a little there. please help me. i am this (insert:two fingers with a centimeter gap between them) from lighting my car on fire and collecting insurance.
TIA
p.s. travis(rennbay) i emailed you.

Well, I was looking at a rebuilt rack from these guys:
http://www.meridianautoparts.com
(They are based in San Diego, but it looks like they have a big operation.)
I think the price was somewhere between $279 and $299. Every now and again they sell rebuilt racks on ebay. They offer a warranty on their work as well.
