On my 968, the driver door handle requires a lot of force/travel before it opens the door. I have everything disassembled, and want to know wihich direction the black adjuster should go to make it easier to open. Also, any other reasons that it would be hard to open

**** update - exterior door handle and all of the attached parts are fine. More investigation of the interior portion of the door latch mechanism showed that there was excessive vertical play in the arm with ball that the black portion of the rod hooks onto. So, time to order a new interior door latch mechanism.
