Default 90K Maintenance schedule

Guys,

Is there anything online about what is entailed in the 90K service interval? I'm now looking at some higher mileage 944's and am looking at this as a negotiation possibility. Official Porsche recommendations and/or personal opinions are appreciated and if I have'nt mentioned it before, man I love this board!

What kind of 944 is this? Early (83-85) or late (85.5-91)? Engine size? There were 2.5, 2.7 and 3.0 liter normally aspirated cars (non-turbo) and 2.5 liter turbo cars.

A 90K mile car should have had the "full boat" timing/balance belts, rollers/sprockets, front seals, waterpump job done at 60K replacing all these parts and just the belts replaced at 90K. If the parts were not replaced at the 60K interval, they should have been checked for wear at 90K.

Several other items to check, but the clutch would be the major thing on a 90K car. Is the seller providing any records with the car?

Oh, and welcome to Rennlist! You will like it here.

Thanks for the reply. I'm looking at the turbos. There are some records but don't think the water pump has ever been changed. And what cost are we looking at?

it may be just me but I wouldn't change a water pump till it failed.
