You can pull the wires on the temp switch and jumper them toghther. Fans will run when ever the key is on.
You can rig up a toggle switch and force the fan relay closed. Seen a few on other 944's over the years.
Sorry, but could you hold my hand and walk me through this? It looks like the route I'll be taking.

Seen your other wiring post. The big problem with electrical is that the person repairing it has to be working on the car. This is not something you can do with internet chat.

Pelican Parts (a Rennlist sponser by the way) has the complete early 83 electrical diagrams. You will have to print them out.
