Steel Control arm Bushing Reccomendation
While Im R&Ring the the front suspension on my 931 (early 944) Im debating what to put in the front bushings.
as for the front (crossmember mount) bushings, I have seens reports of the Control arm cutting into the Poly bushings. Does anyone make a poly bushing, that has a race/washer that fits behind the bushing to stop that?
also what about the ones that have Sleeve inside vs those that dont?
REAR (body mount) Same here, though less of a concern, I have seem some with a steel sleeve and some with out? what is the best option with out going to monoball? this is a street car, firm is ok, but I expect to drive for a couple hours without getting worn out due to harshness.

Go with the stock rubber ones. Some of the Polyurethane won't hold an alignment. There are some that will, however. I don't know what brands will, but there are some past threads on this subject. As a result, I took my polys out of my steel A-arms and went back to the stock rubber ones. Don't need more problems AFAIK. I used polys on my sway bar bushings, though. As far as the cross member supports I just put in the hard thick washers that were prescribed for my car and bolted it up tight to the front frame. I don't know of any rubber bits that go in there, of course, I could be wrong also..but my PET 82-85 doesn't show anything other than the steel washers.

well I want as much of an improvement in handling as I can get (with out super expensive monoballs) I think im leaning toward Delrin front, Poly rear.
Does it really matter what brand/stiffness on the rear as much? I found that Performance Products sell the Weltmeister, which might be the Black polygraphite. The are only about $15 vs Powerflex which are $60
