Default Balance shaft studs

I have the “mid” design balance shaft covers on my 86 951 with the top bearing held in by two M8 nuts and washers to studs that remain in the block when the shaft is removed.

one of the studs appears to have a sheath or spacer about 10mm tall at the block.

does anyone know the specs for this stud as far as the length of both threaded ends? Are the studs the same on both balance shafts?

thanks

Well when I’m doing, figure it out…

used another M8 bolt and threaded into block and measured 22mm. Non threaded area sits 15mm proud of block, and threaded end is 25mm.

so…total length proud of block is 40mm and 22mm into block.

hope this may help others!
