Update: Thanks for the feedback here, it helped me with some ideas and decisions more than any other resource actually.
Chose to do the new Focus9 DME+OBD (bacuse he is local and currently making great products for the 951 at a rapid pace)... but I'm not 100% sure where the end game will be, as that's basically a stock setup with reliability and diagnostics for now.
So then I need a solid tuning solution. Just picked up a used Rouge M-Tune setup with MAF, IAT, MAP, FPR, 80# low impedance injectors, wideband, boost gauge and MBC, comes with a Rogue DME logger and the 28 pin non-selectable Rogue EPROM. Still missing the KLR chip and I don't think the boost controller will be right for a stock WG.... although I have the TunerPRO RT setup on one of my laptops, I don't have anything setup yet to do anything further. Also I may prefer an A-TUNE with the issues people have experienced trying to properly tune an M-TUNE. For now, I of have the attitude to just do the least time consuming path and drive/enjoy the car, rather than anything further. Not a fan of piggy back tuning though (that's usually where simple/cheap/effective goes) and the VEMS seems like a big commitment for time, so I ended up with the Focus9 as a foundation for some moderate tuning yet to be fully determined.
