Default weird hesitation...anyone else have it?

My car runs great, but whenever i pull out for the first time, soon after (we're talking either before i shift to second or right after i shift to second) the car has a hesitation. giving it gas either just maitains my revs or does nothing. The problem usually goes away by the time i shift to 5th gear. it will happen wheter the car is cold or warmed up. any ideas? has this happened to anyone else?

just a guess... fuel pressure regulator? dont know much about them, but would it make sense is if your fpr was weak , it would take a while to build up the correct pressure, IE when you first start running it? or maybe even fuel pump for the same reason.
