So Partwerks, that overpriced e-bay seller, is now offering "rebuilt" 951 dmes for a mere $395 plus a $200 core charge. Now, I know it looks pretty clean and it's in a nice plastic bag and all, but I have to wonder what they'd do to "rebuild" one of these things. Do they use a new board? Resolder the connections? They don't say what's been done, but you gotta wonder.

interesting...i called them a couple weeks ago looking for one for my 89 951 - guy took my number and said he'd call back. never did.
bought one from (shudder...) Vertex - mainly because they are local to me and i can walk in and walk out with the part. seems to work just great.
