I was just going through the records for my car yesterday and realized that today is the 16th anniversary of my car's original sale and registration. My girl's an '87, with a serial number that places it as 2177 of 4955 1987 951's. Does anyone have any ideas as to why mine sat on the lot for so long? I'm sure that the October, 1987 stock market crash hurt the market for Porsches, but I'm surprised that my car would sell so far into the 1988 model year (it wasn't a demo, it was brand new when sold). Anyone else with an '87 951 know the date of original sale of their car?
