In my experience, Koni struts and shocks do not maintain their valving for many many years. As you might remember, my "non-stock" street/track 951 ran Koni Double adjustables up front and 3012s in the rear. I had to have my Koni's revalved every 2-3 seasons.

Nice to see you are still apparently a fan of these cars.

Hey, good to hear from you Mike!. It's been quite a few years since the 50th Porsche Anniversary get together at Laguna Seca in 1998. Yeah, I still have my S2, and my son recently gave me his 951, so in that regard I guess I have "double the headaches" so to speak, ha, ha.

On a positive note, I received my Motion Control Suspension components via Karl at Racer's Edge, plus a bunch of Karl's suspension bushings. I'm very impressed by the quality of everything. I might actually keep my current Koni setup on the S2 and install all the new goodies on the 951 since it's basically stock.

Cheers.

Yes it has been a while. I still remember meeting at the '98 historics... what a memorable event. I got to race in RR IV at Laguna and have been to all of the other RR events at Laguna, but for me those events were not as impactful as the '98 historics.

Karl is a great resource and its great to see he is still at it. I remember connecting him with Automotion back in the day... they put some of his products into their catalog... but sadly sold the biz shortly thereafter. I also connected them with Charlie... I still have the last catalogue that has some of Karl's products listed and Charlie arms.

MCS makes great stuff... I have met one of their people and he is fantastic.

Good luck with your suspension(s)!

Enjoy the motorin'!
