Watching Monster Garage on Discovery last night and noticed that they are selling the 944 Porsche that they converted to a golf ball picker. The passenger door is hinged on top and the car includes all the stuff featured on the show:
golf ball catch scoop
hopper
three (I think) golf ball "guns"
flame-painted
They advertised it for $4,999. I presume it runs.
Just thought I'd let you guys know a very special Porsche was for sale!

Do they have detailed service records? When were the belts and rollers last changed? How about the waterpump?
I wonder what the results on Carfax would turn out when running the VIN.

that show is so popular and crap, they shouldve had auctions for charity or something. i bet they wouldve gotten a ton of money. I FREAKING LOVE THE DEISEL TURBO ENGINE TRIKE!!!!!! THAT IS WHAT HOTRODS SHOULD BE!!!! i mean cars. all cars. just an enormous, rediculously powerful engine for no damn reason. would be cool if they upgrade the turbo and dragged it.

Anyone see the original episode? I got a kick out of watching the guy pump the gas pedal trying to get it started (cringing the whole time thinking about the old timing and b-shaft belts). Electronic fuel injection, dude. It's new and exciting, try it sometime.
