Default Where to get a fuel line? urgent

I cant seem to find it anywhere. i really need one this week. and i'm willing to buy new. I need the fuel line that goes from the fuel pump to the fuel filter. its about 10 inches long or so and has the fitting for the fuel filter at one end, and the other end goes to the fuel pump (a bolt goes through a round connection on the line). Could anyone tell me the part number and where to get it? Or if anyone has one they could pull for me? i need it for the weekend!! i went to the porsche dealership near me (i hate inskip, but i had to ) and they siad it was 53 dollars and it would take up to 10 days for them to get it because they had to order it. my dads paying for the part so i dont care if its new... can anyone help me here? how abou skip, would you have a new one of these? grr.

the same exact fuel line sprouted a leak on me last week. i just took the line to a shop in town that mostly deals with trucking supplies and they took the old fittings and put them on a new line that appears considerably more durable than the original piece. whole process took 15 minutes. call a few shops in town and ask them where you could get some fitting attached to fuel line. i'm sure there's a place near you.

Local parts store (pep boys, auto zone) and get the dia and length you need, plus fuel line clamps. About $6....
Dremel or grind off the crimped ends of the old hose, remove them from the actual fittings, and put the fittings in the new hose. Clamp down, install, and done.

HTH,

Tom

the hose used by the shop i went to is much better than the original material and the fittings were done perfectly. i feel much more comfortable with this hose than with an original OEM hose that has been sitting around some warehouse for 15 years.

No affiliation with this place, but here's a link. I just had to replace this hose in a 951 and found this. The part looked looked much better than the original, possibly the factory upgraded the part at one point. A bit pricy but the owner wanted it done quickly and so we didn't have time to look around =)

It's #17 on that diagram.

The hose IS expensive as **** from the dealer. I paid $51.05 2 years ago. The part number is 944-356-041-07. They left the invoice price on my ticket which shows what they cost was, which was $33.19.

I would either (1) fix it like Tom said for the time being if you MUST get your car on the road, but fix it later with the correct factory part or (2) fix it the way James said to fix it.

Does anyone use / know where to get stainless steel ones? I'm guessing those would be good as well. . .

Sunset has a good reputation for selling parts at good prices. It's worth a shot.

Personally I wouldn't skimp on fuel lines.
