And on to the next...

Wow. How did that thing make it to this millennium without being destroyed like most of them? My 924S came to me without one. I paid $150.00 for one off E-Bay and it looks like it was driven over or something. I had previously contacted a shop I know about making one, but they told me they couldn't make anything to their standard for less than $1000.00. In my case I wouldn't need a concourse reproduction. Just something functional. I would think a large pan-brake and louver punch would do it, which most classic hot-rod shops should have.

I see them out there for sale (@100-150) but shipping is probably at least that. Mine didn't look that great until I had it bead blasted, then a couple hours spent with a couple of body-shaping hammers.

One of three non-OEM items on my car: FIAMM 795/840hz Dual Air Horns. They replicate the distinctive sound of Ferrari during the 70-80's. Correct horns are safely nestled in a box (basement).

The reverse bend on the louvers in the belly pan is due to a Porsche tech bulletin AFAIK. My belly pan is a good one, and has the same deal. Something about the airflow inside the pan required the "reverse louver" . there was some discussion about it on here, about 6-7 years ago, perhaps a search could shed some light on it. Just sayin..

I just thought I would confirm here before hunting for a belly pan for my 84. Early cars have the large aluminum pan like this one? And 85.5 and on have the square plastic tray? I may be able to get one locally and I just want to confirm I'm looking for and buying the right one for my 84. Thx
