Default 1987 944 NA clutch questions

Hey guys.... My original 944 (an 87 NA) has a small clutch problem.... When you press it, it goes straight to the floor. The thing is, it springs to the floor and when you pull it up it springs back in to place. Are there fluid levels that I need to check somewhere to better describe the problem?

Thanks in advance....

Justin

The clutch hydraulic system is fed from the brake fluid tank.

Since the clutch is going straight to the floor you could have any of the following problems:

1. Low brake fluid level and air in the system. Replenish fluid and bleed the clutch system
2. Bad clutch master cylinder. Either rebuild or replace, fill and bleed system.
3. Bad clutch slave cylinder. Either rebuild or replace, fill and bleed system.
4. Leaking brake fluid tank to clutch master cylinder hose. Replace hose, fill and bleed system.
